Smart lighting: scenes, presence detection and dimming

Lighting is what you notice most day to day in an automated space. Well designed, it brings comfort, atmosphere and savings without you having to think about it.

Scenes

A scene sets several lights at once with a single touch: "Dinner", "Cinema", "Reading", "Good night". It's users' favourite feature.

Dimming

Dimming lets you adapt the light to each moment of the day. Fittings must be dimmable and compatible with the system.

Presence

Presence detectors switch lights on and off in corridors, bathrooms, garages and common areas. In offices and hotels, they stop lights being left on.

Daylight

Light sensors adjust artificial lighting according to the daylight coming in, especially useful in offices and shops.

Schedules and calendar

Outdoor lighting at dusk, shop windows switching off at a set time or presence simulation when you're away.

Integration

Lighting works with the other systems: it switches off when the alarm is armed and on when the intercom opens the door or you arrive home.

Frequently asked questions

Can I do it without changing the light fittings?

Often yes, with actuators in the distribution board or behind switches. Dimming depends on fitting compatibility.
