Motorised blinds and awnings: automation based on sun and wind

Motorising blinds is convenient. Automating them is what really delivers comfort and savings: they work on their own with the sun, the wind and your routine.

Following the sun

In summer, lowering blinds on sunny façades stops the house overheating. In winter, opening them makes use of the sun's warmth. A weather station or light sensor does this automatically.

Wind protection

Awnings can be damaged in strong winds. A wind sensor retracts them automatically, even when you're away.

Ice and snow

In mountain areas, moving frozen blinds can damage them. Some systems can block movement in icy conditions.

Schedules and scenes

  • Raise bedroom blinds at wake-up time.
  • Close everything with one button when leaving.
  • A "Cinema" scene that lowers blinds and dims lights.

Presence simulation

When the house is empty, moving blinds at varying times stops it looking unoccupied.

Frequently asked questions

Can existing blinds be motorised?

Often yes, by replacing the manual mechanism with a tubular motor. We assess it based on the blind type and housing.
